Thank you for a wonderful stay in your lodges and cottage.  Our extended family had a fantastic weekend and it was so lovely for us to be able to all get together to celebrate my Mum’s 80th (even if it was two years late).  The lodges and cottage were exceptionally clean and contained everything we needed and more.  The children really enjoyed the play area and outdoor toys and the much older children made the most of the football field!   We had a great day out at Longleat and my Mum thoroughly enjoyed her postponed Birthday celebration with all of her family.  Thank you for an amazing time.

Thanks very much for a lovely break from London’s hectic life! We loved it – Rabbits, Moorhens and all! It was like ‘home from home!’ Very well stocked with all we wanted! We will try and come back again to see more places around here.

This was our third holiday at By The Byre, yet again we’ve had a fantastic time. A tawny owl visited most evenings to the delight of us all! We will be back again soon!

Had a lovely holiday, the Lodge was perfect for the 6 of us. It had everything we needed. The children loved feeding the chickens in the grounds and playing with the toys.

Wonderful Christmas stay – We had a lovely time in this comfortable and well presented cottage. Any issues were solved within no time and the communication with the owners was easy and very quick. Thank you for this lovely experience.

We were in the UK for a family event and needed an place for 6 adults for one week, this place was perfect. Located near enough to the events but far enough to give us some breathing room from the family. The cottage we clean and more importantly, warm on the damp country days and nights. The owner was accommodating because we had an early arrival from the US and when we suddenly found ourselves with an EV that needed charging. All in all a perfect place for a country getaway

We stayed here for two weeks – and we loved it! Our Lodge was perfectly kitted out, super private and had lovely views. Steve and Sally were great, nothing was too much trouble.
Location is close to Frome, a great farm shop and a range of other attractions. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Superb. Owners came over to greet us, First time In years. Very friendly. Lovely location. very near access to Mendip ring for you walkers. Near to Frome plenty to see and do there. Lovely lodge, everything you would need. Good playing facilities for the kids

We have stayed at By The Byre three times now in one of the lodges. We’ve had a great time and love staying here. The location is really close to Longleat so perfect for us as a family. We love that there is flexibility to book for a few nights, even in the middle of the summer season. The lodges are clean and have everything we have needed, this summer we enjoyed sitting out on the decking every night for dinner.

Sally and Steve provide super accommodation in a beautifully relaxed location close to Frome Longleat and central for many lovely places. The lodges superbly equipped. Comfy settees, a great kitchen. Ideal for all ages. This is our second visit and will be coming back.

We’ve stayed here several times in all of the different accommodation they have and its definitely our goto place if we are going on holiday to Bath or Longleat.
The owners are so friendly and the accommodation is exceptional.

Stayed here for 10 days and can’t recommend them enough. Cottages were so comfortable with everything you could possibly want included. Catering for children was so important to us having bed guards and stairs gates provided made our life so much easier. Owners were so helpful and did everything they could to help us. Great location also 👌

We found it on ChatGPT we were looking for a discount for longleat and ChatGPT recommended By The Byre Holiday cottage because they give a 20% off discount for longleat zoo so it was perfect for us so we booked it for 2 adults and 4 kids and when we went to the cottage it was more than expected it was so amazing and there are play places for the kids and they give you bread,eggs,milk and butter it was amazing we loved every single thing and sally and Steve were so nice and kind they helped us with anything that we needed there are cows and chicken you can feed the chickens and the house was very clean it was amazing

We stayed in the Selwood Cottage and had great time. The place was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Beautiful place to stay. Although the weather was rainy. I can imagine sitting out on the deck in the summer. Spotlessly clean. Owner very welcoming. Plenty of room. (6 of us) all daily necessaries supplied. Warm and cosy

My partner and I stayed in Farleigh Lodge and absolutely LOVED it! The Lodge had everything we needed and was very very clean. The hosts were lovely and left fresh eggs and bread for us on arrival, which was very kind. We would definitely recommend this place and will be returning.

The property is lovely, and owners have gone above and beyond with the unexpected welcome package of fresh bread, eggs, milk and butter. A folder is provided with everything you ever need, such as taxi numbers, local restaurants, pubs, facilities for families, excursions, take out, and more. These additional touches make the stay extra special. And the hosts provided their contact numbers should there be any additional needs or queries.

Sally’s communication was excellent the entire time and ensured we had everything we needed! Great set up for our little one too, with a proper cot and black out shade in the bedroom.

Perfect for us, 3 adults on weekend break – really well appointed – appreciate things like bread, eggs, coffee, oil, dishwasher tablets etc. Thank you.

The cottages were beautiful and very well appointed. We were in area for our daughter’s wedding. It provided the perfect location and facilities for family and friends to stay.
